I am a member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC) Practitioners, as a Registered Child and Youth Worker. I have over a decade of experience supporting both youth and adults in many sectors. Most of my work has been providing one to one counselling support, where I’ve had the privilege of serving youth and their families as they navigate some of the most transformative years of their lives.
My focus is on helping individuals heal from generational trauma, build emotional resilience, and develop emotional intelligence. My goal is to create a safe space where they can unpack what no longer serves them and gain the tools they need to move forward with clarity and confidence, in personal, academic or professional settings.
I am passionate about empowering my clients to recognize their strengths and embrace their potential. At the heart of my work is the belief that every person deserves the chance to step into who they’re meant to be.
NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS (you may add your details to my waitlist).
My name is Saunia Palmer-Nelson and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Through my private practice, Refining Therapy Services, I provide services through a trauma-informed client-centered, strength-based approach. In other words, I never assume I know you more than you know yourself, and I see it as a privilege to support you through any stage of your life that we meet. My goal to enhance the social development and emotional growth of clients in a culturally sensitive, non-judgmental, and respectful manner.
I can support you and or your family and loved ones work through challenging relationships, family conflict, interpersonal conflict, personal growth, mental health challenges, trauma, understanding a new diagnosis, expanding your support network, managing stress, preparing for a new stage in your life, crisis, and/or working through grief.
